Easton Rotary Donates Flags to Town of Easton

In conjunction with its "Flags for Heroes" project, the Rotary Club of Easton, Maryland recently donated 60 American flags to the Town of Easton, which were displayed through the downtown area for several weeks this summer.

"For years now, the Club has honored community heroes and members of the armed forces with the Flags for Heroes project, which displays more than 500 American flags throughout Easton over Memorial Day Weekend," comments Jackie Wilson, Flags for Heroes project co-chairman. "This year, it was an honor and a privilege for the Rotary Club of Easton to partner with Mayor Robert Willey and the Town of Easton in this display of patriotism, which bathed the town in red, white and blue."

The donated flags were hung on the Town's lampposts by Easton Utilities, a community partner of the Flags for Heroes project, who assists the Rotary Club of Easton in placing all of the flags throughout Easton each year.

Pictured are John Flohr, Flags for Heroes project co-chairman; Hugh Grunden, president and CEO, Easton Utilities; Mayor Robert Willey, Town of Easton; Jackie Wilson, Flags for Heroes project co-chairman; and Jed Anthony, immediate past president, Rotary Club of Easton.
